Twist Potato
Commissioned for the KL Architecture Festival, the Twist Potato is a playful folly at the intersection of two city alleys. Neither building nor sculpture, it celebrates overlooked urban spaces while reframing views toward Merdeka 118. From one approach it reads as a landmark; from another, a rabbit hole leading to a quieter, greener space beyond. Acting as a viewing point, loose pavilion, event catalyst, and gateway, it reveals and conceals through filtered sightlines. Over three months, the alley hosted unplanned activities, including an ASEAN Governor and Mayors Forum, showing how a small architectural gesture can subtly transform the city.
