NO 14 BUKIT MULIA

The project entailed a minor renovation of a two-and-a-half-story terrace house in the Bukit Mulia neighborhood of Ampang, near Bukit Antarabangsa, for a private client. The project received approval from the Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya in August 2019 and construction began in late September of that year. The project was completed in August 2020.

The design intent was in line with the client’s brief, which was to renovate the house with a 5-foot front extension. The design incorporated the existing house’s A-frame roof profile with reinforced concrete coping as the roof profile, while incorporating minimal modern design elements. One such design element was the inclusion of a custom protruding frameless glass box, which became a decorative feature of the house. Additionally, the three black lines carved into the wall were intended to give the house a signature character.

This project was running concurrently with our 103 USJ 2 house and GB Network Solutions ID Works
