Our transformative project reimagines a once-temporary interior into a landmark space for technological exchange and celebration, positioning it as a symbolic gateway for digital innovation between China and ASEAN nations.

Originally conceived as an ad hoc three-week installation, the China ASEAN A.I. Lab was designed to host and welcome some of China’s leading pioneers in artificial intelligence — including trailblazers such as DeepSeek, DJI, and others pushing the frontier of advanced technology. Planned to coincide with a significant visit by China’s president at the time, Xi Jinping, the Lab was envisioned as both a showcase and a stage for dialogue, partnership, and demonstration of cutting-edge digital progress.

The design embraces a restrained yet luminous palette of white and blue — a deliberate nod to the ethereal, cybertronic realm of A.I. and the future-forward aesthetic of digital technology. Here, the immersive blue glow suffuses the space with a sense of infinite possibility, while crisp white surfaces anchor it with clarity and lightness.

Within this ephemeral laboratory, open zones for discussion and demonstration were crafted to dissolve the boundaries between visitor and exhibitor — an environment where the exchange of ideas could flow freely, surrounded by subtle lighting and integrated technology. The space becomes not only a venue but an experience that mirrors the spirit of advancement and collaboration that defines the age of intelligent systems.
